Agent orchestration

arquitectura

multi-agent orchestration

Agent orchestration is the coordination of several AI agents, systems and workflows so they run in the right order, share context and do not step on each other.

Implementa formulation. With one agent you hand over a task; with several you must decide who does what, with which data, and how conflicts are resolved. In OutSystems research (2026, 850+ IT decision-makers, with CIO Dive and KPMG; vendor study), 35% cite data consistency and shared context as an obstacle and only 26% say they are well prepared to resolve conflicts across agents, systems and workflows.

How it differs from

Workflow automation (RPA)
Classic automation follows fixed steps; orchestration coordinates actors that make decisions and can conflict.
Agent harness
A harness wraps one agent; orchestration coordinates several.

Examples

  • A billing agent that waits for another agent to validate an order before issuing the invoice.
  • A rule deciding which agent prevails when two propose contradictory actions on the same customer.

FAQ
