Solution · By integration
Orders come in over WhatsApp and someone types them into Odoo by hand. That gets connected.
Integrating WhatsApp with Odoo isn't forwarding messages: it's an order, a query or a payment that arrives over WhatsApp ending up created in the right Odoo module, without anyone typing it.
The problem
WhatsApp is where the customer comes in. Odoo is where the business lives. In between, a person copying.
- The customer orders over WhatsApp and someone reads the message, opens Odoo and creates the order by hand, with its product, customer and price.
- The same query —"is my order ready?", "do you have stock?"— gets answered twenty times a day by opening Odoo to look and going back to WhatsApp to reply.
- The conversation history lives on a phone and the business data in Odoo: nobody without that phone in hand knows what was said to that customer.
- After hours, messages pile up and the 11pm order gets typed in the next morning, once the customer has already asked why nobody replied.
Cost of staying the same
You have the channel the customer buys through fastest wired to your ERP by a human cable: someone copying from WhatsApp to Odoo and from Odoo to WhatsApp. It doesn't show on any invoice, but it shows as delayed orders, late replies and hours of a team acting as a bridge instead of selling or serving.
The solution
An AI layer between the WhatsApp Business API and the Odoo External API that bridges it on its own
- 1We map with you what really comes in over your WhatsApp: orders, status queries, stock questions, payment alerts. Not everything is automated on day one; we start with the stable, high-volume stuff.
- 2We connect the WhatsApp Business API to your Odoo instance (Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or self-hosted) via the Odoo External API: the AI reads the free-text message, understands what it asks and leaves it created or resolved in the right module —an order in Sales, a query against Inventory, a contact in CRM—.
- 3We flip the flow around: the AI queries Odoo to reply on WhatsApp with the real data —order status, stock, next delivery— in the customer's language, without anyone opening the ERP to look.
- 4We leave it with a net and measured: which messages it resolves alone, which it escalates to a person with the context already summarized, and how much reply and typing time drop.
What changes
What you stop losing
The order that comes in over WhatsApp stops being typed by hand: the AI creates it in Odoo with its customer, product and price, and the person moves from typing to reviewing the doubtful cases.
Mechanism
Status and stock queries get answered on their own against Odoo's real data, in the customer's language, without anyone opening the ERP to look and going back to WhatsApp to reply.
Mechanism
The after-hours order stops waiting for the next morning: it enters Odoo when it arrives, with the customer notified, not when someone types it.
Mechanism
What we measure: % of messages the AI resolves or creates without intervention, product and customer accuracy when creating the order, reply time to the customer, and typing time per order.

Frequently asked questions
WhatsApp modules for Odoo bring the conversation inside the ERP —you see and reply to messages without leaving Odoo— and that's great. What they don't do is the work that requires judgment: reading a free-text order and pulling product, quantity and customer; understanding that "do you have it in blue?" is a stock query and answering it with real data; deciding what gets resolved on its own and what goes to a person. That's where the AI comes in. We build it on top of the module, not instead of it: WhatsApp provides the channel, Odoo provides the data, and the AI does the bridge someone used to do by hand.
To connect to Odoo seriously you need the WhatsApp Business API (the platform one, not the phone app or plain WhatsApp Business): it's the only one that lets a system read and write messages with Meta's permission, use approved templates and respect the 24-hour window. If you don't have it yet, we help you get set up and verify the number and templates. We build the integration on that base; without it, any "connection" is a workaround Meta can cut off.
That's why it starts with a net. Sensitive flows —creating an order, touching prices, confirming a delivery— start in proposal mode: the AI prepares the order in Odoo and a person approves it, until accuracy is high and you release autonomy by message type. And anything that smells of negotiation, a complaint or an edge case escalates to a human with the conversation already summarized. We don't replace your team's judgment; we take the copy-paste between WhatsApp and Odoo off their plate.
